PT100 and PT1000 table: resistance vs temperature (−200 to 850 °C)
PT100 and PT1000 resistance from −200 to 850 °C in 10 °C steps, from the IEC 60751 curve (α = 0.00385). Nominal element values, without the leads.
A PT100 is a platinum sensor with 100 Ω at 0 °C; a PT1000 has 1000 Ω. Resistance rises with temperature along the Callendar–Van Dusen curve of IEC 60751:2022, with α = 0.00385 °C⁻¹. The table shows the nominal element value every 10 °C.

How to use the table
- To check a sensor, measure its resistance disconnected from the transmitter and compare it with the process temperature or a reference bath.
- With 2 wires, the lead resistance adds to the reading and the instrument shows a higher temperature than the real one.
- Between two table points the curve is not exactly straight: linear interpolation gives an approximation.
Calculated nominal values, not measurements. The sensor tolerance depends on its class (AA, A, B or C) and is not in the table.
Values calculated from the reference functions; they do not replace measurement or a calibration certificate.
